I think it's something that should be fun. If someone has a 9-5 that they hate, why should they devote 1/2 of their Tweets to that? I think you should use Twitter in a way that you get enjoyment out of and you're comfortable with.
I'm curious what the majority will think about this because it makes sense, but then again, there are people like @skydiver who now have multiple accounts to split their different follower b/c some, for example, really want the HARO updates, but not the witty, irreverent jokes. I tweet about whatever is on my mind, so I essentially follow your principle, but I can definitely understand why some people have multiple accounts or only choose to tweet about a narrow range of topics.
