Smoke Less Weed - Drink More Red Bull

Did you know that in 2006, they did a study and found that 46.9% of college students said they had used Marijuana. I live in a college town and hang out with mostly college students, and unfortunately I don’t know many students that don’t get high.

I pulled a quick quote from StateUniversity.com about the effects of the drug.

“Sustained marijuana use may directly affect academic achievement for those that experience difficulty in problem solving and poor memory. Long-term use might also lead to “amotivational syndrome”. This is where users are extremely unmotivated in their lives and their achievement of academic, career, and personal goals. Long-term use may also lead to a decreased ability to deal with the stressors that often accompany personal growth and achievement. Marijuana is the “do nothing” drug.”

On the other hand, I pulled a quote on the side effects of Red Bull and it stated “consumption of Red Bull poses the risk of raising of the energy levels within the body to dangerous proportions”. I would personally rather be on the side of “energy levels within the body to dangerous proportions” with Red Bull than contracting “Amotivational Syndrome” from smoking weed.

I’m amazed that with the economy in the shitter and unemployment growing, I still see college students wasting away their time on the couch with their bong. If you are really serious about getting ahead and succeeding, put down the bong, hit a few Red Bulls and start hustling your ass off. Weed isn’t getting you any closer to your goals, no matter how many times your high friends try to tell you different.
