Another reason I feel I should be chosen is my passion for education and hustle. I grew up in Arkansas and go to school here. Arkansas and West Virginia battle to NOT be the last state in education. I know this is a horrible thing, but I feel that I am privileged to be able to go to a University here in Arkansas. I hustle and work my face off because unlike most lucky students I don't have scholarships or anything.

I feel like I deserve to go because I want to be able to educate myself and learn about all the accomplishments that other teens have done in the tech world. I want to be able to meet and connect with other people my age in the tech world and talk to them about what they've done, what they feel they have accomplished, and where they hope to go. Maybe I can talk to them about college life and what that is like. I feel like this will benefit me because I drive myself on motivation. Seeing and meeting people who have accomplished things will give me the boost to say ok this is what I want to do, this is how I want to do it, I think people will enjoy this product, and I'll get something out there and get feed back.

I know that there will be more conferences like this in the future, but I want to get started now. I want to go, learn, and start looking forward to future conferences. Going to this may help me learn enough so that I can get something started, and maybe in the future I will be asked to speak at one of these conferences.

Hey Derek, I'm not sure if my story lives up to Luke's, but I'll try! I am a 16 year old student, motocross rider, and recreational cyclist. I write multiple articles a week on my blog (http://www.mikemartinracing.com), addsyou account (http://www.addsyou.com/my_account.php) and twitter (http://www.twitter.com/mike868y). I have also written articles for 2Wheel Tuesday (http://www.2wheeltuesday.com) and am in the process of writing articles for several other websites. I am really impressed by what you can do with technology. I love the internet and social media and believe that teens can really make a difference in the online community. I love what the internet has done for the ability of teens and younger individuals to start a company, make money and build a community.

If you know Gary Vaynerchuk and keep up with his blog, then you will see one of his latest posts is turning negatives into positives. Here is a prime example of that situation in which a negative turned into a positive for me.

My school had a shooting not to long ago. It was probably one of the most craziest things ever to happen at an Arkansas school. Our school administration was doing a poor job at informing the students of what was happening. Because they tried to send out an email, every student wanted to check which caused the website to crash. I decided to take action on this. Through word of mouth, neighbors, tv, and internet, I started posting video blogs to my own website and then linking them out through social networks. Mainly Facebook and Twitter, but I did use Ping.fm. I also went to Arkansas news websites and posted link onto their forums and discussed what was going on with other people posting there. Because of this, the news had gotten out much faster and everyone seemed more satisfied to know what was going on. Our school is now looking into using text messaging to get out important information about school events.

Through this day, a new website start up called Unigo found me through Twitter. They were fascinated by how I was able to reach out to so many people through my blog and social networking. They instantly wanted to contact me and then offered me an internship with them this next semester.

This is how I also met you Derek and how we have been able to communicate and for me to learn about Tatango and what it is about. You have also been a great influence and inspiration/motivation to what I want to start accomplishing in the near future for myself.

This just shows you how powerful social networking and social media can be. A huge negative turned into a positive by my knowledge and use of social networking. I want to continue to educate myself more on this and this is why I would love to be selected to attend the Teens in Tech Conference.

Dang! Wish I were in San Francisco!

I'd love to attend this conference. I remember following Daniel Brusilovsky ages ago and marveling that he was only 15 years old. He's accomplishing so much and is destined to become a solid voice and resource in the tech community, I'm sure of it.

Having followed Teens in Tech since even before it's launch, I always remember being saddened that I was 19 years old and right about to turn 20 (moving on from teen-hood into official adulthood). Being a youth is so advantageous in this industry. I'm now 20 years old but I'm not giving up yet! As you know I recently launched GirlinYourShirt.com and now have launched a growing online television network, inYourShirt.tv. Being excited for future growth and expansion with these startups (and others that I'm involved in) I think I'm a great candidate for the Teens in Tech conference, not only to go and meet other youth, make network connections, etc, but even to help inspire and guide other teens who are in attendance by simply conversing with them, telling them my story, etc.

Oh yeah, plus I'd LOVE to see you speak !!

Good luck to all in the running!!

I believe I should be considered to win a ticket to the Teens in Tech conference because I am very passionate about teens..and tech. More importantly though, I think the real prize in this giveaway is the dinner with the Tatango team. I would feel so honored to dine with the most innovative and talented young men in this country. I would just love to hear about the direction Tatango is taking and where you are headed in the future. Pick me! Pick me!

I believe I deserve the tickets because not only will I benefit from the networking possibilities at the teens in tech conference, but all of you at Tatango will also benefit from me coming as well. If brought on this trip I could provide full press coverage through still photography (even video if requested). Bringing me to the teens in tech conference would be your most viable use of those tickets. Being that I am one... a teenager, and secondly an up and coming force in my technological field (digital commercial photography) I have more than the credentials necessary to win these tickets.

The teens in tech conference is all about the showcasing technology that is not only created, but marketed by young adults approximately my age. The conference is set up as a networking tool to those in a similar age group and field. Out of anyone that applies for these tickets I feel that I would make the best use of the entire experience at the teens in tech conference. Networking is what has gotten me to where I am now and given this opportunity I feel I could only catapult my namesake and career that much further. Who wouldn't want to see that?
